University of Fort Hare Admission Requirement In South Africa

UNDERGRADUATE

To be eligible for admission to degree study, applicants need to meet minimum requirements for eligibility: Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects. Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.

For more information on Undergraduate degree requirements please refer to the Study Guide. Declaration by Parent/Guardian for Minor Applicants must accompany all applications by learners under the age of 18.

POSTGRADUATE

The admission requirements for postgraduate study vary from one program to another. You are advised to consult the Faculty directly to find out what is required for the course or degree that you want to take.

POSTGRADUATE

All applicants with non-South African qualifications are required to have their qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). For more information regarding evaluation of qualifications please visit the SAQA website www.saqa.org.za.It is the responsibility of the prospective student to forward his/her documentation to SAQA.
