Occupational Care of South Africa

Occupational Care South Africa (OCSA) first opened its doors in 1995 with a total of twelve employees. Since then they have grown into one of the leading nurse-based Occupational and Health service providers in South Africa. OCSA is aided by its three major stakeholders, CareCross Health, Ditikeni Investment Trust, and Occuexpert.

The services they provide include assessments of workplace health, employee wellness, risk management, injury management, laboratory services, and much more. They also offer training courses for staff and external practicing medical officers and nurses.

This training consists of courses in audiometry, health assessment, family planning, spirometry, and emergency care. OCSA currently has 95 on-site clinics and 12 mobile units. They employ more than 450 occupational health nurses and more than 30 occupational medical practitioners as well as 20 emergency care practitioners and more than 1800 medical practitioners at 850 practices.
